go to the pet store. they have tank seperators. ask someone that works in the fish dept. i have one and have used it many times to seperate mating fish from others.
You should get a betta tank. You can get one that has the tank split in half with a plastic wall, it keeps water circulaing, and it also keeps the fish apart from eachother so that they won't hurt and/or kill eachother.
Maybe you should put a type of wall made out of plastic or something, put a bounch of holes in it for the water to circulate, but none big enough for the fish to get through.
a boundary net half way across your tank will maintain water flow or a special glass wall separator also maintains water circulation which you can buy or order from almost all pet shops who sell fish but they will still try to attack each other when ever they see each other ( they even have a go at a mirror ) so perhaps its best to have another tank or sell because they wont /cant change their nature
Put a piece of plexi glass in the tank and drill several small holes in it for the wanter to still circulate. Use the rocks in the bottom to hold it in place.
Beta is a fighting fish and should be kept separated. What made you think they should be able to see each other.I own 2 and keep them in two separate vases.
They sell special beta tanks in pet stores that are designed to keep them separate. You can only put two in at a time though, it has two different compartments divided by a piece of glass.
