How can you tell if a kitten is male or female ?

I have the picture guide - but without a "different" one, at 6 weeks they could be either?

okay i could tell my kittens at like 2 days old, so maybe i can help. both will have 2 holes in that area. however, the males will be further apart, allowing space for testicles, while the females will be close together.

If you look closely you will see 2 tiny bumps where the testicles will eventually be.Females have a very tiny little slit (not a hole), and no bumps.

the kittens penis would be located higher up on the belly. location is the key

Males usually have a large head and prominent jowls if left unaltered. Females have a slit-like opening to the vulva under the @nus, and will not develop jowls.

Like dogs, all you have to do is look at their behinds. Males have balls and females do not.
