What are these bumps on my dogs ear?

Have an American Bulldog puppy, 5 mos old. Just noticed one ear has a series of tiny bumps and redness all over. It is on the inside, floppy part of ear. The ear canal looks normal. He has been scratching it now and then.I own a dog grooming shop and see all kinds of ear infections. I've never seen little bumps like this before. What is this??

First I recommend http://www.dogster.com/ for dog related questions. Second, you should describe the bumps more accurately. How tiny are they, are any scabbed over? If they are really small and not scabbed over it could just be an allergic reaction or a rash. As long as it doesn't get worse I don't think it's an issue. Dog skin is very different from ours, for example, dog's don't have pores.I searched pretty thoroughly on google and found nothing, so don't be worried :]Finally, if things get worse then you should probably take him to the vet. All dog's scratch themselves pretty frequently so try not to let it make you paranoid. I hope everything works out.
