No. However, if I'm walking my dog, I'll pick her up because I don't know if the other dog is dog-friendly or not.

It depends on how they are coming. Charging while barking? Yes. If they're just wandering over wagging their tail, I won't veer away.

Of course not, big dogs are usually gentle giants.I do find it hilarious when people see a dog with a muzzle on and cross the road to avoid it, I mean, its muzzled, therefore CANT bite you!

No, I would stop (so as not to influence the dog one way or another... moving away can trigger a chase instinct) and assess body language. Since 90% of the time I have a slip leash in my pocket I would assess whether or not the dog was friendly enough for me to leash it and then either check for tags or phone animal control.

Nope. I love big doggies!! It's the little ones you have to watch, nippy, evil little things some of them.I once worked in a kennels, and there was a little chihuahua that everyone was petrified of. We had to edge towards him extremely slowly otherwise he'd bite us!

if it was a "great dane" and i was walking my cute little shi zui called pugsy, i would run like mad cos i would not want to have loads of "great shi-s" running around my house. it's bad enough having 4 kids and a husband!!!!!

No probably not, I'm naive about viscous dogs being brought up with my pet dogs around me since I was born, I've gained relative confidence and knowledge of how control or act around dogs. If I see dogs off leads, by themselves I usually take them and look for the owner or if they really do look like strays i take them home, until I can manage to find their owners or hand them to a sanctuary thingy. However, if a big dog looked like it was running to bite me I would cross the road yes and hide somewhere.
