no you shouldnt be vvorried..all she is doing is cleaning herself. the vagina svvells but it vvill go dovvn as she comes off. its your choice to have her spayed...but if vve all did it there vvould be no cute puppies in the vvorld

well dogs have seasons a period where she is able to become pregnant and will go out looking for a dog to mate with. and it is normal for the Virgina to swell up.

This is totally normal. We had a dober pincher who had her first period and her vagina was practically hanging off of her body. It subdued once her cycle was over...I assure you this is normal, but if you want some extra comfort you could always take her to the vet.

no this is perfectly normal, i got the shock of my life when my dog had he first and saw how swollen sh was, it will stay large now the swelling reduce slightly but this is the appearance it will have from now on

That is exactly what happens when a female dog comes into heat. Licking is normal. Keep her away from all male dogs and keep a close watch on her when taking her out to potty. Never leave her un-attended. Males WILL try to get to her. Most will succeed if she is not carefully watched. You may want to talk to the vet about having her spayed if no puppies are in her future..

Try and get her to stop licking herself and make a make shift pair of pants out of an old pair of pants and secure them on her. My mate does this with her dog. It looks funny but it helps and keeps everything clean.
