What's a good home remedy for a dog's upset stomach?

My freind's dog has an upset stomach and she wanted to know if there's anything she can find at home or very cheap to buy at a store to help a dog's upset stomach. Or maybe some human medicine's that can help a dog, if there's any and/or safe.

zantac is safe for dog. mine was sick and half a tablet recommended by doctor. take with lots of water.

My vet told me you can give a dog Pepto Bismal

which end is upset? and what does she mean by upset, how long has this beeg going on?

Take the dog to the vet, don't mess around if you love the pet. It could have bloat, or some other serious problem that could be deadly.

grass...thats what they eat when they are sick..preferably a plant

define upset stomach. for an occasional vomit or a bought of diarrhea you can try with holding food for 12- 24 hours and then feed small amounts of cooked rice and boiled chicken or hamburger. for persistent vomiting or diarrhea, a trip to the vet is in order.

Dog has upset stomach and vomiting and or diarrhea...NO FOOD FOR 24 HOURS!!!!! Then feed a mix of boiled hamburg and rice. Feed that every 2-4 hours (small meals) for the next 24 hours and if no other signs, begin to mix in standard feed until they are back to full feed.Be aware Pepto can make the poop look very dark...like upper GI blood!!!!! If you see it do not be alarmed and if you have to go to the vet...tell them EVERYTHING you have given!!!!!

My dog had the same problem so my mom heard that lamb and rice food is easier to digest or something like that, so she switch him to that and he hasn't had an upset tummy since! Oh,but i don't know how much it is,sorry. Hope i helped!

Grass. I am not even joking. My dogs eat it all the time when they puke and my vet says thats why.

If ur dog has a tummy ache, just let her/him outside and it will eat grass. Dont worry ur dog knows what grass to eat and what grass not to eat. THen ur dog will attempt to throw up, its ok, this is how dog cure a tummy ache. Sometimes they wont throw up, so keep that in mind, instead they will just eat grass. Its safe, so dont worry!!!

you need to figure out why the dog is having an upset...that would help....pick up the dog food,feed plain bread(no jam,butter etc) to ease the stomach. expect diarrhea to follow. keep plenty of water available at all times and consult vet.
