How do you regrow grass in a place where the dogs have relieved themselves?

I have two medium sized dogs, one male and one female. The female relieved herself in about the same area all winter. Now I have a large dead area in the yard. I scoop up the solids but I am afraid the urine has ruined the soil and nothing will grow there. I have blocked off the area, now what? I know it is work to have two dogs and a nice backyard but I am willing to do the extra work. Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks.

New dirt and new grass. the old is just filled with old urine and dead grass.

Put lime on the burned spots to lower the PH of the soil back to normal levels then reseed

And don't forget lots and lots of water to neutralize the urine.

I agree with Aussie but also fertilzer and/ or manure to give the soil back the quality it had.

Lot's of water and a soil conditioner..I have the same problem..We water alot, usually 2-3 times a day and use a soil and grass conditioner with grass seed in it.. the new grass comes in a little slow but it does come back..
