How long does it take for an emperor angelfish to get its mature colors?
I have had one for two years... it unfortunatly passed on me <img src="https://dogencyclopedia.net/FRAMeWORK/wcf/images/smilies/sad.png" alt=":(" /> I was wondering how close it might have been to getting its mature colors.

I had the same fish for 3 years and it never had mature colors. Some say six years but its hard to keep one that long. I would say 3 years would be about the right time. When mine died you could see something starting to form on its side.
I was wondering how close it might have been to getting its mature colors.
