Is tomlyn's tuna flavored laxatone for cats safe to feed to my dog?

He's a ten year old 55 lb pit/lab,painfully constipated for three days, and lethargic... im getting scared because i cant afford a vet.

Do not play doctor at home - get the dog to the vet. It could be something else. And no you cannot give laxatone for cats to a dog.

Constipation can be far more serious for dogs than people. If he has a blockage or something, a laxative or even the canned pumpkin many here suggest could kill him or at least require very expensive surgery. In general, no case for a home remedy. If I absolutely had to do something, I might try an enema.
