I would get vet checked .However to answer the question.Yes they can.I gave mine 1/2 of the childrens. You might call the vet and ask him first.Good luck
Yes, my beagle takes Benadryl for her allergies, but I suggest asking the vet first =) In the mean time,I'd give him half pill perhaps. =)Best of luck, hope he's better soon!
yes, as long as he is over 12 weeks..but for him i would get childrens benadryl which is half the dosage of adult. since he is so small and big amount probably isn't good..try a half of the childrens and then if he does ok with that then try the full caplet..good luck
Yes, I give my dogs Benadryl, just call your vet to see how much to give him. At that weight I would think children's Benadryl would be best. Good luck, take care;^)
Yes, dogs can take Benadryll. This and Imodium AD are the only human medications recommended by vets for canine consumption. Only give one capsul every 24 hours.
Well you shouldn't give your dog and medication without knowing what is wrong with it. Benadryl included. Take your dog to the Vet. Plus your dogs weight is only 6 pounds. If you give him the 25mg tabs it could really knock him out. Benadryl isn't a pain medication either. It's an antihistamine.
You shouldn't give meds if there could be internal injuries until you know what is wrong with the dog. yes, they can take benydryl in low doses, but it may not be appropriate here - the dogs needs a vet if it is obviously in pain. Benadry will make the dog sleep, but I don't know that it will relieve pain. GET TO THE VET ASAP!
I dont think its a very good idea unless your dog has allergies. Then its fine to give him benadryl. But since he's in PAIn i'd suggest taking him to the vet. From there you can determine medicine. But as of now, benadryl wont help since its an antihistamine. Hope your dog feels better!
Benadryl is for allergies, not pain. I would check with your vet first, but when you give benadryl for allergies you must give the dog a considerably higher dose than a human, but that was just what I was told. Again... check with a vet first!!!
Benadryl won't help your dog out. It is only used for allergies. And your dog doesn't have allergies. This sounds more like an injury and i would take him to the emmergency vet if he's in pain. Whatever you do, don't give your dog aspirin. It is very dangerous for dogs.
Yes they can. Because he's 6 pounds he doesn't need a lot at all. Hardly any actually. Children's liquid is best. Benadryl isn't for pain though. & it will make it sleepy. We give it to our dogs that have asthma. It helps them alot. If you give s/he less than a half of an asprin it'll help some of the pain. But it needs a vet if it continues.
