what is the best dog food and also cat food?

I called my vet and they recommended "science diet" for both.Yes, thank you i was looking at the blue wilderness one on petsmart. But any how, I was looking at iam's, science diet, and my co worker uses the blue wildernes. I just don't know what to get so many different kind for one brand. One cat is chunky 18 lbs at 8 years old. one cat is 1 1/2 years old and always eating but so thin, and the other cat is 10 lbs and always hissing. lol So between that idk which one is best for all to eat.

No! That is terrible food! Lots of people recommend Science Diet but its awful food. Look at people's reviews on it. I have been feeding my dogs/cats cheap food (Almost like Science Diet) and they were acting sick, having diarrhea and vomiting every so often. I changed foods a ton but nothing helped. I then switched to Blue Buffalo and they didn't act sick. Its VERY healthy and they have lots of different kinds of food. Science diet is garbage and is not the food to feed to get a cat (or dog) especially to loose weight. My cat was fed science diet (the lite version too) and he got up to 30 pounds and was still gaining before I switched him to a better diet. Cats need grain free canned or raw. http://www.catinfo.org/My cat dropped 15.5 pounds so far on raw. If you want to go with canned taste of the wild, blue wilderness, halo, merrick before grain, weruva, natures variety, natural balance, felidae etc are all good. As far as dog food the brands I listed for cats are all good for dogs as well. Raw is another option. If your interested in raw do research first.
