    • The OFA testing is to check the hips your vet can do this, kinda. They will have to take an X Ray, get some of your dogs AKC (or another typ) info. They will then send it off to the OFA they will look at the X Ray and mail you the info latter. To get the eyes tested you will have to see a different vet. Some vets have them come in every so offen. But your vet should be able to tell you where to go.

    • http://www.offa.org/faq.html Any licensed vet can take the radiographs for OFA testing. For CERF testing, it needs to be done by a member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists http://www.vmdb.org/clinic.html Good luck!

    • Any vet can submit OFA radiographs as long as they have followed the AVMA guidelines for positioning.http://www.offa.org/hipproc.htmlCERF exams must be done by a veterinary opthalmalogist:http://www.vmdb.org/history.htmlFrom that website you can look up clinics in your area. Dog clubs frequently do them, often in conjunction with shows, so check out the upcoming clinic page:http://www.vmdb.org/upcomingCERFclinics.htmlA good place to check out which vets are best for these in your area is to contact your breed club and ask a few breeders who they recommend.

    • With the OFA, your vet takes the radiographs and send them to be read by a panel of OFA certified vets who each give the hips a rating. They average that rating, and that is the rating your dog is assigned. Some vets are much better at taking properly positioned radiographs than others.CERF has to be done by a CERF accepted veterinary opthmalogist. Many dog shows and matches offer CERF on show days and for a reasonable price.
