If you suspect he/she has worms its best to give the dose twice with a 2 week break in between.She will poop worms out almost immediately,you're right,to flush out her system! You could always take a fresh stool sample to the vets if you like,who will in turn check under a microscope
having a stool sample examined under a microscope by a vet is the only way to know 100% if there are worms or not. Or a blood test to check for heartworms.
Sometimes it does take more than one treatment to get rid of the worms. Take a fecal sample into the vet. For a small fee, they'll check it and let you know if your dog is worm-free or if she needs another treatment.
