6 Month old puppy has a red eye. Know whats wrong with her eye?

As i said, she is about 6 months old. I am very worried. She has just recently been hit by a car, she is fine. We took her to the vet. But i just noticed that the white part of one eye is completely red. Thanks!

    • could be ruptured blood vessels from the impact of the car, however it could also be actual trauma to the eye that may require medical attention. I would take her back to the vet for a recheck. If you wait too long you may end up having to take the puppy to a specialist or end up having to do surgery.this may also be completely unrelated to the bump with the car, puppies, while playing can induce trauma to the eye. i have seen injuries happen from playing with sticks, playing in the yard, playing with another dog, attempting to play with a cat... it can be hard to say with puppies. Allergies may also be a culprit as well (though both eyes are normally affected). Abnormalities can also show up at this age, such as cherry eye or entropion, though rare, but possible.Needless to say, i think another trip back to the vet may be in store. Like I said earlier, ask for a recheck, some vets do these checks at a cheaper price than the initial exam.
