    • This is what I posted on your last question, good luck. :)I got a puppy at 6 weeks old too, except she didn't have a litter or a mother that we know of. She was at the pound alone.Anyway.You should of done research first.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_(do...About the dog.http://www.perfectpaws.com/pupstuff.htmlhttp://www.pedigree.co.nz/puppy/train/tr... (It's a good site, but don't buy their food! EVER)http://www.pawsability.co.uk/http://www.phsspca.org/training/dogs.htmHope these help a bit.

    • You already asked this..You should feed a good quality puppy food.. He should still be with his mom, and is missing out on good nutrition that is important for a young puppy. He should be seen by the vet and given his first vaccinations, and checked for worms.. You need to buy a crate so you can crate train him.. and start housetraining him right away.. No pee pads in the house, you teach him to pee outside.. Crate him when you go out and when you can't watch him. Take him out immediately.. Take him out at least once thru the night.. Stay out with him til he pees/ poops, praise him when he goes.. Take him out after you feed him, when he wakes up.. Take him out every 20 minutes. Get a good book on raising an orphaned puppy. Don't forget to buy good pet health insurance. NEUTER HIM.. Don't repeat the same mistake the person made when they produced him.

    • Housebreaking: I would start off by getting a crate for the dog, this is used as the dog's "safe place" and to help with potty training. Whenever you are gone or are sleeping you should put the puppy in the crate. Puppies can hold their pee for the equivalent number of hours to how old they are in months plus one. So you puppy is 1.5 months, so it should be able to hold it for 2.5 hours. If you are home and he is out of the crate, I recommend taking him out every 1-2 hours or more if he is playing really hard. Restrict his water at night, pick up his bowl a couple hours before bed time so he does not go to bed with a full bladder. Take him out to the bathroom after he eats or sleeps. The best way to get him not to go inside is to catch him in the act, yell "OUTSIDE" or whatever word you want to use, and immediately take him out to the grass to go pee. If he pees in the house and you miss it, yelling at him will not register because he will have already forgotten what he did wrong, so clean it up when he is not looking and move on.Feeding: Puppies should eat 2-3 times a day depending on what works before for you. I started my dog at 3 times a day and when she turned 6 months she started getting fed 2 times per day. Go to Petco or Petsmart and get a good quality puppy food, there are so many so I would ask your vet what they recommend. Make sure you have plenty of clean water for you new dog at all time, except before bed like I said before!Vaccinations: Puppies, like babies, need a series of vaccinations to keep them healthy and to prevent diseases. You need to find a good vet and get him started on his vaccines if you haven't already. You should also limit his contact with other animals and a lot of people until he finishes all of his shots.I hope this helps a little, good luck!
