Why does my akita puppy sleep so much and not eat alot?

i have a 7 1/2 week old akita, i recently braught him home, can anybody tell me why he sleeps so much, as i will feed him he would have a poo and then sleep. is this normal?

It's perfectly normal for a young puppy to sleep a lot. As long as he is active and playful when he's awake, I wouldn't worry.

yes puppies sleep a lot as long as he's eating and drinking some and he has access to food and water he'll eat when he is hungry

Typically a young puppy (and he is very young to be away from his breeder and siblings, even if mum is off the litter by this age), will sleep lots, but will also have bouts of 'manic' activity. If your puppy is like this, and eating and having normal BMs/peeing, then I'd suggest he's normal. But have your vet check for a problem when he has his health check and vaccination course started.
