    • An 8 month old should be getting fed twice a day as you are doing. For amounts then you need to look on the back of your dog food bag. There is an amount per weight chart on there. You should be still feeding puppy food up until a yr old.

    • Your staffy puppy is OVERWEIGHT. A full grown male staffy should weigh no more than 17kg. (Ignore this is you own an AmStaff, if you own an English Staffordshire Bull terrier start him on a diet).Nobody can tell you exactly how much he should be eating because it depends on the food he's eating, but I don't believe you that you were told dog biscuits would be suitable for him to eat as normal meals by a vet. Biscuits ARE good for them to chew, but I'm sure the vet meant as a treat NOT as his main meals. They need more nutrition than a bowl of dog biscuits can give them.I suggest feeding Royal Canin but everybody loves a different brand of food.My staffy is 12kg (she's fully grown) and with royal canin medium adult light food she gets 200g a day.Using royal canin at 8 months old and aiming for somewhere between 25-30kg (for an amstaff) you would be feeding 355g of food a day split into two meals but each manufacturer has different guidelines for how much the dogs should be eating of their food. For god sake start feeding your dog some real food rather than just dog biscuits, he WILL be overweight if all he ever eats are dog biscuits.
