    • Things you need:1. TOYS!2. Puppy pads3. bed4. puppy food (puppy kibble(soak in hot water to make it soft))If you have more than 1 dog the puppy cant be near other dogs until it has had all of its shots... if u have another dog get a cage, or gate.. something so the other dogs cant get near itWhile its still a baby don't give it training treatsFor training....The puppy pads are scented to make dogs want to go to the bathroom on it. So wen it pee's or poops on the pad praise her. say "good girl" and make her feel that he did good....He will be teething for a while, so u need teething toys...Sit: push his butt soo its on the ground say sit and then praise her. keep doing this for a whileLay Down: have her sit, then put her in a lay down position and say lay downHope this helped

    • Well, just be consistent. teach him sit and give him a treat. tell him "go potty" and take him outside PRAISE when he does this and give a treat. it's really easy to train dogs, you just have to be consistent and stuff. I recieved my puppy when she was around 6 weeks (the "breeder" lied to us about the ages and the vet said it was probably better she was with us then the "breeder") we just took her EVERYWHERE with us way too young to leave alone, make sure you establish a routine. take him outside every 1/2 hour- hour tellhim to go potty and then you will have less accidents and house train faster. get some kong puppy toys and the puppy peanut butter that you can buy for it. it's a great treat and keeps them distracted for awhile. make sure you have plenty of safe puppy toys to prevent him from chewing you furninture, items, or you. if he bites you firmly say NO BITES and hold his mouth closed(not hard) and then give him the toy and say "good boy" when he chews on the toy.....Good luck just be patient!

    • It's more the littermates that she needs to be with rather than the mother. At this age, early socialisation is absolutely vital to her mental wellbeing in the future. Pups need as much experience as possible with other pups and dogs before 16 weeks of age, so they can learn proper manners. Obviously at 5 weeks they're too young to be around other dogs, so they get their early socialisation from their litter mates - this is the real reason pups should not be homed before 8 weeks of age.Get your puppy enrolled in socialisation classes as soon as she is fully vaccinated, it really is important. Most classes like this will also start you off on basic training and go through all aspects of dog care.At this age, you can only really start with the basic basics; i.e. potty training and perhaps the sit command; this is one dogs often do naturally, with a little encouragement they can learn to respond to the word 'sit' and then maybe progress to 'down' but pups don't usually start this before 8 weeks of age.Health is more important than training right now; the pup needs to be treated for fleas and worms and vaccinated when at the right age, so see a vet regarding these if you haven't already. Puppy also needs to be on puppy food, and really some puppy milk replacement formula for about another couple of weeks. So at this age; toilet training, bite inhibition and the 'sit' command are how to start. Email me if you want more details on how to accomplish these; or better yet discuss with your vet!Chalice
