    • Well this is a tricky question. There's the size they're SUPPOSED to be and WILL be from a reputable breeder... and then there's the size that most are... which is larger than they should be. Most shelter dogs or dogs from BYBs will be the larger option. Females are on the smaller side, males on the larger side.So I'll give you the sizes but keep in mind the BYB'd dogs will be on the larger side and those bred for standard tend to be on the smaller side.American Staffordshire Terrier: 57-67lbsStaffordshire Bull Terrier (MY FAVORITE!!): 25-35lbsBull Terrier: 45-65***Miniature Bull Terrier: 25-33lbsAPBT: 40-80lbsAmerican Bulldog: 60-120lbsThose are all of the breeds considered "Bully Breeds." Boxers, Mastiffs, Bull Mastiffs and others have some of the same breeds in their background and for some reason they're not categorized with them!Boxer: 50-80lbsMastiff: 175-190Bull Mastiff: 100-130Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog: 78-100lbsArgentine Dogo (Dogo Argentino): 80-100lbsIf you're considering one of these breeds, make sure you know EVERYTHING about them before getting one. Keep in mind that many of these breeds are stubborn and dominant (not to be confused with aggressive!) and need firm, calm, consistent training in order to be good dogs. Make sure you do your research and you're up for the challenge! Most of these breeds are not the best option for most first time owners, Boxer being the exception.Good luck!
