    • Not sure where to find one, but make sure you do your research, don't just settle on a breed because its cute...And all puppies grow up and get bigger...You'll need to find what the breeds general size is...http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/alaskankleekai.htm

    • http://akkaoa.org/Go there for breeder directory. As a warning, AKKs are extremely hard to find and also very expensive, particularly the toy variety. You might have trouble finding a breederAlaskan Klee Kais are actually a legit breed, believe it or not Mandie...they are accepted by UKC. Not sure why you think UKC is crap.Oh so its toy breeds you have a problem with?

    • Yay Toy huskies. Way to support BYB. ( I never said it wasn't legit )They are legit with UKC which is crap. Believe it or not they are a "toy" breed which is *CRAP* fox terrier...I don't like the toy breeds and it's very aggravating to have a "toy husky" just like the "golden doodles" people will eventually start getting this breed as a fad, because they are cute mini huskies. And guess how many BYB will be breeding this dog to have a [ mini husky ].ANYWAY! here is a site if you really want one.http://www.toyhusky.com/contactYou people are D*m*A**'s. They are actually "mini" alasken huskies. Of course there temperment's..etc are different, but people will get them because they are and look like [ MINI HUSKIES! ] -see photo - http://www.toyhusky.com/photos.htm--The Alaskan Klee Kai is a small version of the Alaskan Husky with a wedge-shaped head featuring a striking masked face, prick ears, and a double coat. The length of back is just slightly longer than the height. The tail is well-furred and curls over the back or to either side when the dog is alert or moving. The appearance of the Alaskan Klee Kai reflects the breed's Northern heritage. And on the site you can see it has a picture with."Standard, Small, and "Mini"ature"http://www.alaskankleekai.com/There is another site where they are said to appear to be "Miniature Huskies"

    • No matter how many sites tell you that they are miniature siberian huskies - they are not. They are more like pomeranians mixed with Alaskan Husky with siberian husky markings. In fact, they have very little Siberian Husky in them. They have extreme temperament problems that are still being worked on. And because they were bred down from Alaskan Husky, with most emphasis being on the size, they often have a super high working drive - which means unless you can handle working a dog, you cannot make this breed happy. http://www.akkaoa.org/about.html

    • It is not a "mini" Husky. It's a *completely* seperate breed. Do NOT purchase from someone calling it that.http://akkaoa.org/There's the breed club, you'll probably find some breeders there. Just make sure you know how to spot a responsible breeder, and you'll be fine.

    • Reputable breeders can be found at ukcdogs.com and at akkaoa.org. Do not buy a puppy over the internet! Take the time to find a breeder in your area and go see the dogs. Ask so many questions that the breeder thinks you are writing a book! You may find that it is not the breed for you and that is OK. If you still desire an Alaskan Klee Kai be prepared to wait. Most breeders have waiting lists. And make sure the pup you get is UKC registered as are both parents!
