What breed is best for first time dog owners?

I'm not saying that a mixed breed dog won't have those type of problems too, I'm just saying that it is less likely to. I want a dog really bad! If I get one it will be my first dog ever. If it hepls I live in an apartment and i dont want a dog that requires a lot of grooming.
