If you raise it as a puppy with cats it would be fine. You would need to be more worried about the puppy and his eyes. A cat can damage a puppies eyes if allowed to get to close with their claws.
any dog breed can get along with catsignore the stuff about a high prey drive. i have a hound mix and id never get a bird or rabbit but cats are no worry at all. i got a cat when my dog was 5 and it took less than 2 weeks to adjust. since your getting it as a puppy theyll be raised with cats and think of them as playmates not dinner
If you get the dog as a puppy and train it to respect the cats, sure. It might be harder if you adopt an older dog that was not raised with cats. But anything is possible through positive, consistent and firm training!
well, it doesnt really matter what type of dog it is really. and my cat and dog dont get along. and either do my friend's animals. but maybe they will. just test it out, and if it doesnt work out, then i dont know what to do.
If raised from puppyhood.I'm talking Day 1. 8 weeks old. Our pup is GSD/Mal. She only chases the cats, she doesn't hurt them, and that's only because she just moved in with them about two months ago when she was 6months old.
