    • Sometimes called the English Bulldog or the British Bulldog, the breed originated in England and has a bloody past. It descended from fighting mastiffs that were brought to the British Isles by the Romans and was used in a bloody sport called bullbaiting. Today, however, the Bulldog only slightly resembles his ancestors in appearance. And all of the ferociousness that he exhibited in the bullbaiting pens? Gone for good. Despite his still ferocious appearance, you'd be hard-pressed to find a dog with a sweeter, more loving disposition.http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/bulldog/overview

    • first off congrats i have an american bulldog and they are great dogs you'll need shots puppy food dog dishes treats collar leash toysIt is fine to put the older bulldog in the cage just make sure the older bulldog likes the puppy my advice and this works great a kinda large stuff animal in the cage but here is the catch put a ticking clock or watch around the stuffed animal this will Comfort the puppy cause it will resemble the mothers heart beat this works great also if the puppy knows when it cries you'll get up to c whats wrong it will cry because it knows it can get your attention i hope this helps and again congrats

    • I myself have a 3 year old American Bulldog, they are very good dogs. I don't think it would be a good idea putting the puppy in the crate with adult bulldog. Since American Bulldogs are very loyal and close to their owners, the adult one might be confused of whether or not you want the new puppy there, so the adult might become territorial. So for the first few nights I suggest you let the dogs get to know each other and let them sleep separately. Hope this helps!

    • One dog per crate. It is not a good idea to put them in together. Your pup will not thing your adult dog is it's mother-it's mother was imprinted on him when he was born. If the pup cries in the middle of the night, you must ignore it. Coddling the dog at a time like this will create separation anxiety, and open up a whole new book of problems.
