How can i tell if my new puppy is a bulldog or a pit bull?

I got an all white female puppy from the pound last sunday and it was listed as a bulldog...however it looks like a pit bull puppy to me more than an american bulldog. how can i tell the difference or can i upload a pic of her?

it can be a mix but bulldogs have little stubby legs while pits have longer legs, look them up and compar her

there really isn a difference you can tell by, i mean you cant look behind there legs and they have something different about them, i own an american bull and the vet says he is a pit but he isnt,you hardly see white pits so he probably is a bulldog, but american bulldogs are in the breed of pitbull so they are bound to look the same because the pit has the looks of a bulldog, what you can do is get a dna test off the internet, its expensive but if you really wanna know then do that

You'll have to wait until it grows. American bulldogs look to me anyway just like big white Boxers. The Johnson lines are a bit stockier. And more bulldoggish in appearance. Both are very Lippy. Its hard to tell when they are pups I know. I have a hard time distingushing the two when they are very young.

If you are having trouble determing whether or not your dog may or may not be a bulldog could be because she is a mut or to young to determine. however if you cannot tell by the snout then maybe the hair could help determine. even though the pitbull has a completely different snout than the bulldog. a bulldog has a fatter face with droopy skin hangin down the side. to me that itslef can help detemine.Good luck!

If it was at a humane society or shelter - it is like a pit, pit mix or American Bulldog - (which also derives from a pit) It is very unlikely to be a Bulldog of the traditional kind. They are very expensive to breed and I know of no English Bulldog breeder who would place a puppy so carelessly that it would end up in the shelter.If you wanted a bulldog you should have gone to a reputable breeder of a bulldog
