What is a good name for a girl Basset Hound?

I just got my 1yr lil boy a puppy for Valentines, she's a tri colored Basset Hound. she's mainly white and black on her body but her face has brown brow lines. On her back she has a perfect white heart. I thought of naming her Val, short for Valentine but it's still up for discussion..any ideas?

So is it a girl or boy? You said lil boy but are calling it she. I had a girl basset once, her name was Sadie. I think its a cute name.

I think a cute name for her might be Valentina

it's the same concept, but sounds more elegant and lovely. Checkers might be cute to, since she's mainly black and white
