How soon before you can you take a puppy out for a walk with other dogs?

I'm collecting a puppy at 9 weeks. It will have had its first injection. Then I think the next one is 12 weeks? How soon after that can you take it out so it can mix with other dogs?

No until the pup has had all it's vaccinations! This will not be done until the pup is 16 weeks old. It is much better to wait until the pup is fully vaccinated then to be in a hurry to let the pups meet other dogs.

I don't take my pups out around other dogs untill they are fully vaccinated. Depending on the vaccinations your vet gives, that can be either a 3-month series of shots, or a 4-month series. Mine gives a 4-month series, so I keep the pups at home until about 4 months, then they go everywhere with me.

2 weeks after the second injection. don't walk it any earlier as there is still a chance of the anti bodies not being 100% effective.

3 days after it is FULLY vaccinated.. It should get its first Jag and wormed at 8 weeks, then 2 weeks later its 2nd jag and second worming, then the vets advice atleast 12-14 days after his second jag!!!I have just paid £500 for my new Akita puppy...so i shall be sticking to the vets advice bang on!! x

as soon as the puppy has all of its shots and clearance from the vet so that she doesn't get sick from all the other doggies. our pup had rabies shot and then 2 more before we were allowed ( =

After all the injections, usually about 3 months but check with your vet as you puppies are so vulnerable when young and you wouldn't want to lose your precious pet.

Well I'd make sure it had all of its puppy shots before I'd take it around other big dogs and I WOULDNT take it to Petco or Pets Mart.... you don't know who's dog has any dogs dieseases and your opening up a can a worms for the lil one.. play it safe... GOOD LUCK

our vet advised a week to 10 days after his final jab.

2-3 weeks after its 2nd injection, it might not want too go far at first, so just take it a paw at a time.
