How To Get Over A Fear Of Dalmatians?

When I was 7, my auntie had a dalmatian. It jumped up at me and it was as tall as me. Ever since then, I have been afraid of dalmatians. Now I'm 13 and have been invited to my friends birthday party. It's at her house and all my other friends are going. The only thing is, she has a dalmatian. I really want to go to the party but I'm nervous at being around the dog. My friend has talked about her dog and it sounds like a very excitable dog, making it all the worse for me. So how can I get over my fear and go to her party?

The best way is to meet some friendly dals who are under control. It sounds like the one you met was just being over friendly. Maby ask your friend if you could come over before the party to meet the dog and make sure her parents know your fear so they can controls the dog, maby have it on a lead.
