Is the Alaskan Klee Kai a real breed ?

I was wondering if it was a real breed or just a mutt or something of the sort. If it is a real breed then why hasn't the Akc registered it?Thanks!

It is a real breed.There are over 400 recognized breeds WORLD wide.. AKC recognizes less than 200. Just because AKC doesnt have the breed, does not mean its not legit.The process to gain AKC recognition starts with the breed club WANTING recognition. Some breed clubs dont want their breed AKC recognized! There has to be enough interest in the breed as well.
